RentMate sends SMS messages on behalf of property managers (the "Manager") to tenants, vendors, and other contacts that the Manager has added to their account. This page documents the consent language used and the rights of every recipient.

Consent records — the timestamp, IP address, and the version of this text shown at the moment of consent — are retained for the life of the relationship and for at least four years after, in line with carrier and TCPA expectations.
The following text is incorporated by reference into every RentMate-administered lease or work-order agreement. Property Managers using RentMate are required to present this language to tenants and vendors at the time of signing.
Effective date: the date of the underlying lease or agreement.
By providing a mobile phone number to your Property Manager (or to RentMate on your Property Manager's behalf), you agree to receive SMS / text-message communications from your Property Manager and from RentMate acting as their software provider. These messages include, but are not limited to:
Message frequency varies based on your property's activity; a typical recipient receives between zero and ten messages per month, with higher volumes during active maintenance or move-in / move-out periods.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply. RentMate and your Property Manager do not charge for these messages, but your wireless carrier may.
Opt-out: You may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any RentMate message. You will receive a single confirmation reply and no further automated SMS will be sent from RentMate to your number. If you later want to opt back in, reply START or contact your Property Manager directly.
Help: Reply HELP to any RentMate message at any time. You will receive a reply with your Property Manager's name and the email address contact@rentmate.io.
Privacy: Phone numbers and message content are used solely to operate the property-management relationship between you and your Property Manager. RentMate does not sell phone numbers, does not share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing, and does not use phone numbers or message content for advertising. Carriers: Carriers (including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and their MVNOs) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
By signing the underlying lease or agreement, or by replying YES to a RentMate opt-in confirmation message, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this addendum.
